It's looking like fans will be back in the stadium for the regular-season home opener against the Packers on September 26. Things are looking better when it comes to COVID, and the 49ers are preparing to welcome back fans. Although, everyone still needs to do their part, and the league is encouraging vaccinations.
Before the home opener, there will be two preseason games at Levi's Stadium, and fans may even get a chance to see the team in person before that.
According to Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group, the 49ers plan to allow fans to watch training camp practices in a couple of months. Fans have not been allowed to observe offseason practices since before the 2019 season when the team opened 11 practices to the public.
Practices will take place at the 49ers' SAP Performance Facility in Santa Clara.
"Also expect Levi's Stadium to open for a couple of camp practices before the exhibitions against the Kansas City Chiefs and Raiders," Inman added in his recent mailbag.
