On Friday night, the Niners traded back in the second round, eventually selecting offensive lineman Aaron Banks of Notre Dame. Later, in the third round, the team traded up to select running back Trey Sermon of Ohio State and then used its compensatory pick on cornerback Ambry Thomas of Michigan.
