On March 26, San Francisco surrendered four draft picks, including its first-rounders in the next three drafts, to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for the No. 3 overall pick. The team is expected to select a future replacement for Jimmy Garoppolo, with the three leading candidates being Fields, Lance, and Mac Jones of Alabama.
Jones was the betting favorite to be the No. 3 pick until Fields' workout last week. Oddsmakers then placed the former Ohio State Buckeye at the top of the list. Lance's workout on Monday could have a similar impact.
The 2021 NFL Draft kicks off on April 29 from Cleveland, Ohio.
