According to Matt Barrows of The Athletic, the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets plan to interview San Francisco 49ers assistant Michael Clay for their vacant special teams coordinator jobs. Clay has been with the team for five seasons.

"Clay played for Chip Kelly at Oregon, then was hired by the 49ers when Kelly became their head coach in 2016," wrote Barrows. "Clay has stuck around since and has garnered interest from other teams during the recent hiring cycle. The Eagles and Jets have notified the 49ers of their intention to interview Clay for their vacant special-teams coordinator position."

Clay started his coaching career with the Eagles in 2014. Philadelphia is looking to replace Dave Fipp, who left to join the Detroit Lions, while the Jets continue to build their coaching staff under new head coach Robert Saleh.

H/t to Pro Football Talk for the find.
