The San Francisco 49ers officially activated the tight end off of injured reserve in time for Saturday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. Kittle suffered a broken bone in his foot during a Week 8 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The team opened the practice window for him last week.
The bad news is that San Francisco also placed two players on injured reserve. They are running back Raheem Mostert (ankle) and quarterback Nick Mullens (right elbow).
The 49ers announced the following additional roster moves.
- DL Kevin Givens' status for Saturday has been downgraded to "out."
- OL Colton McKivitz has been activated off of the reserve/COVID-19 list.
- DL Darrion Daniels has been promoted from the practice squad to the active roster.
- DL Alex Barrett and TE Daniel Helm have been activated/flexed from the practice squad as COVID-19 replacements.
- CB Tim Harris Jr. and WR Jordan Matthews have been activated/flexed from the practice squad.
