The Green Bay Packers are headed into Thursday night's clash with the San Francisco 49ers without several running backs after rookie A.J. Dillon tested positive this week for COVID-19. Two other players — running back Jamaal Williams and linebacker Kamal Martin — were designated as "high-risk close-contact" and, along with Dillon, will not play against the Niners.


Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that there have been no new positive tests for the Packers since Monday. Green Bay's remaining available running backs are Dexter Williams and Tyler Ervin. The team is unsure if Aaron Jones will play as he deals with a calf injury.



San Francisco is missing several key starters itself. The team will push forward without quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) and All-Pro tight end George Kittle (foot). Both could miss the remainder of the season after suffering injuries during Sunday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Those losses just add to the long list of injuries that have decimated the Niners' roster this season.

The 49ers and Packers are set to kick off from Levi's Stadium on Thursday at 5:20 p.m. PT.
