"That I grew up a fan of the 49ers," Jordan revealed.
The 49ers signed Jordan to a one-year deal in August. The eighth-year veteran hopes it is his final stop in the NFL. This is where he wants to finish his career, hopefully playing for his childhood team after this season.
"My goal is to retire a 49er," Jordan responded after being asked if he would ever return to the Miami Dolphins, where he spent his first three NFL seasons.
Jordan has accumulated 11.5 sacks over his career. One came during Week 3 of this season against the New York Giants. Which career sack was his favorite?
"My first sack [with the] 49ers," the 30-year-old defender answered.
Jordan and the 49ers will face the Seattle Seahawks this weekend. That means chasing around quarterback Russell Wilson and trying to stop the league's top-ranked offense.
"Imma get after him and I'll make sure the rest of us do as well," Jordan declared. "It's gonna take a group to get that done. We've faced a few of these elusive QBs already but the difference is Russ is in a group of his own. Because he's a HUGE playmaker throwing and running the ball."
The defender spent two seasons with the Seahawks and noted that Wilson is the nicest player he's met.
"He's a different type of dude," Jordan said. "You can't buy into it, though, he'll try to kick your butt."
