The 49ers will be without featured back Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. Wilson rushed for a career-high 112 yards during Sunday's win over the New England Patriots before suffering a high-ankle sprain in the third quarter. He will join Mostert, who coincidentally sustained the same injury a week earlier, on injured reserve.
San Francisco could get back Tevin Coleman this week. At least, head coach Kyle Shanahan remains optimistic about the veteran rusher's return.
"I hope so," Shanahan said on Monday. "I'm not sure yet, though. I mean, I know he can't go today. I'd be surprised if he gets out there fully for Wednesday, but I think that will be a late-end-of-the-week decision."
Meanwhile, Seahawks running back Chris Carson is week-to-week with a mid-foot sprain. He will miss some time. Backups Carlos Hyde, a former Niner, and third-down back Travis Homer also emerged banged up from Sunday night's overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Hyde is dealing with a hamstring issue and was sidelined late in the game. Homer suffered a knee contusion. The injuries forced Seattle to turn to fourth-string rookie DeeJay Dallas in overtime.
"So we have some things that we can do if we need to," Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said on Monday. "We're going to take it one day at a time and see if our guys can get back in who can get back, with a couple of creative thoughts going forward that will keep in-house for now."
The 49ers (4-3) and Seahawks (5-1) are set to kick off from CenturyLink Field on Sunday at 1:25 p.m. PT.
