On Sunday night, San Francisco will face the Rams for the first time this year.
The Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills are also listed among the 49ers' toughest remaining opponents, with the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys as the only two teams listed as the team's easiest upcoming opponents.
Injuries have decimated the 49ers roster. The defensive line has lost Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas for the season to ACL injuries. Pass rusher Dee Ford remains out indefinitely with a back injury. Veteran cornerback Richard Sherman (calf) has not played since Week 1, and K'Waun Williams recently landed on injured reserve with an ACL sprain.
We learned this week that linebacker Kwon Alexander is out indefinitely with a high-ankle sprain.
On offense, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is trying to regain his form after dealing with a high-ankle sprain. After missing two games, he had perhaps the worst game of his career on Sunday when he went 7-of-17 for 77 yards, two interceptions, and a career-low passer rating of 15.7 during two quarters of play.
San Francisco faces a particularly challenging stretch between now and its bye week. In addition to having the Rams and Seahawks on the schedule over the next five weeks, the 49ers will play the New England Patriots, Packers, and New Orleans Saints.
The 49ers are exiting what most considered to be the easier portion of their schedule, own a 2-3 record, sit at the bottom of the NFC West, and remain winless at home.
