The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 1 contest against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The 49ers received some good news on Wednesday. The team will have linebacker Fred Warner in the lineup on Sunday. He was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Center Ben Garland joined Warner during Wednesday's practice but was limited.

That is a step in the right direction toward the team getting healthy.

The 49ers are still trying to figure out the situation surrounding two of their wide receivers — second-year wideout Deebo Samuel and rookie Brandon Aiyuk. Samuel is looking to return from a Jones fracture suffered in June while Aiyuk is working his way back from a hamstring injury sustained during training camp.

Having a healthy Aiyuk and Samuel against the Cardinals would be a significant boost for Kyle Shanahan's offense at the start of the season. The 49ers remain hopeful they'll have both available on Sunday.

Below are Wednesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Cardinals, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
