Joining Brown for a visit was center Hroniss Grasu. Wilson reports that Brown worked out for the Houston Texans on Sunday.
Mike Garafolo of NFL Network was the first to report the 49ers' interest in working out Brown, a former Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks wideout.
The Jacksonville Jaguars made Cyprien a second-round draft pick out of FIU in 2013. He has also played for the Tennessee Titans and spent last season between the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons.
Cyprien has racked up 513 tackles, 12 for a loss, three sacks, five quarterback hits, two interceptions, and 16 passes defensed in six NFL seasons. A torn ACL cost him the entire 2018 season.
The Chicago Bears made Grasu a third-round draft pick out of Oregon in 2015. He's had two stints with the Baltimore Ravens, and also played for the Miami Dolphins and Titans.
Grasu has 18 game appearances and 13 starts through four NFL seasons. He spent 2016 on injured reserve.
San Francisco is dealing with several injuries at both wide receiver and center. Second-year receiver Jalen Hurd suffered a torn ACL on Sunday, ending his season. Deebo Samuel and Richie James Jr. are also temporarily sidelined.
Starting center Weston Richburg is likely to miss the start of the regular season while his replacement, Ben Garland, left Monday's practice early with what the team reported to be an ankle injury.
