Cornerback K'Waun Williams, who may be one of the most underrated players on the San Francisco 49ers roster, spoke with reporters this week. We've already shared what he said about the challenges of covering tight end George Kittle, who on Friday officially signed a five-year, $75 million contract extension that keeps him with the team through the 2025 season.

K'Waun Williams: "I haven't really paid too much focus on it. I just leave that stuff to my agent and those guys, and they'll take care of it."

The value of having Dee Ford as a pass rusher

KW: "It makes a big difference. Having Dee out there just opens up a lot of rushing lanes for other guys. Just knowing he's out there, I know we're going to be able to attack the ball consistently, having him out there. And I feel like he's done a great job taking care of his body this offseason and been grinding ever since."

The 49ers' unfinished-business mentality following Super Bowl loss


KW: "Everybody's just got their mind on one goal, and that's just attacking every day, and not forgetting what got us here. Just being able to work hard every day and try to get back to that moment so we can finish."

Seeing a healthy Jerick McKinnon practicing

KW: "He's definitely worked this offseason. I'm excited to see him out there, just being able to make sharp cuts, and be confident in his body, and just being able to make plays. It's been amazing just to see him out there and battling with us again."

The possibility of playing games without fans in attendance

KW: "It will be a different dynamic, but I feel like you're going to have to bring your own juice and be ready to play football in any environment. I feel like you've just got to be able to adapt and just play at a high level."
