Tryouts were prohibited due to health concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic. NFL teams were only allowed to bring players in for physicals, and even that required multiple tests for COVID-19.
Players will still have to undergo testing, undergoing the process three times, with each returning negative before taking part in a workout. Players who were on an NFL roster within 24 hours will only have to undergo two tests.
The 49ers will now be allowed to host eight players for workouts per day. Still, personnel must continue adhering to health protocols, including wearing protective equipment and remaining six feet away from the player at all times.
