Bosa ended up reaching opposing quarterbacks nine times during the regular season and added four more sacks during the postseason, earning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.
When Bosa looks at this year's top 49ers draft pick, defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw, just like him before, it's sometimes easy to forget that he is entering his first NFL season.
"Javon is a really good kid," Bosa told reporters on Thursday during a video conference call. "He's really hard-working in the meeting room. He knows all his stuff really well. He doesn't seem like a rookie out there. We've only been out there for a couple of walk-throughs so far, and he knows his stuff, and he doesn't look like a rookie.
"Like I said before in an interview, he's one of the biggest humans I've ever seen in person, and that says a lot when you've had Arik (Armstead) and [DeForest Buckner] on your team. So, I'm just excited for him to have this opportunity, and I think he's going to kill it."
With the addition of Kinlaw and the recent signing if Dion Jordan, San Francisco now has six former first-round picks on its defensive line, including Bosa, Dee Ford, Arik Armstead, and Solomon Thomas.
