Hill's quarterback, Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes, was impressed despite saying via Instagram that his receiver appeared to "let off the gas" at the end of the run.
Hill is tired of other players trying to lay claim to the title of "NFL's fastest." He made that clear during an interview on ESPN's First Take while calling out one former San Francisco 49ers wideout.
"If these people really wanted to race me, they would personally message me on Twitter, on Instagram," Hill said. "They wouldn't go on Twitter and then talk trash and don't act. If you're going to talk trash, at least at (@) me."
Host Max Kellerman asked Hill who "they" are.
"Marquise Goodwin, whoever," he responded. "Whoever wants to race me, we can do whatever. I already proved that I'm better than you at wide receiver. Now I've got to prove to you that I'm faster than you too? That's really going to hurt when I'm faster than you. And I move better than you? That's really going to hurt."
San Francisco traded Goodwin to the Philadelphia Eagles on April 25, after three seasons with the team. He is a former member of the United States track and field team and an Olympic long jumper. The receiver last year won the "40 Yards of Gold," a competition to determine the NFL's fastest player.
Although, Hill did not participate.
In 2018, reporters asked Goodwin about Hill, and who he felt was faster.
He responded: "I don't compare myself to anybody, but I mean..."
Goodwin then paused, rolled up his sleeve, and showed off his tattoo of the Olympic rings.
Hill later doubled down on his First Take comments, tweeting out, "I said what I said."
Update: Goodwin responded to Hill with the following tweet. The Chiefs receiver did ask any challengers to at (@) him on Twitter. You can't say Goodwin doesn't know how to follow directions.
