The proposal is in response to the NFL Players Association's (NFLPA's) demands for the NFL to take recommendations on how to address the coronavirus pandemic more seriously.
The league has already conceded and moved forward with daily testing for the first two weeks, and even offered to eliminate the entire preseason.
Below is the proposed training camp schedule reported by Rapoport.
San Francisco 49ers rookies are scheduled to report to training camp on Thursday, along with quarterbacks and injured players, for COVID-19 testing. The rest of the roster is set to arrive in one week.
Players will undergo a second round of testing a few days after the first one. Should both return negative, they will be allowed into the team facility, assuming Santa Clara County allows the 49ers to do so by then. The team's training camp plans and protocols remain under review by county officials.
