Consider this part of Getting Ready for Training Camp 101 at Hot Boyzz University. The "legendary" duo of San Francisco 49ers linebackers Kwon Alexander and Fred Warner are working out together with training camp scheduled to begin shortly.

Warner is entering his third NFL season while Alexander is entering his sixth, and second with the 49ers. NFL players have been forced to work out on their own all offseason due to the coronavirus pandemic and have been unable to enter team facilities or meet face-to-face with the training staff. The virus, which continues to see rising numbers of cases across the country, threatens to shorten or even potentially cancel the upcoming season.

NFL players, like Warner and Alexander, however, continue to prepare as if training camps and the season are right around the corner. The league is trying to finalize plans to keep players safe from the virus as teams get ready to ramp up preparations for the 2020 season.

Warner recorded a team-leading 118 tackles, three sacks, nine passes defensed, an interception, a touchdown, and three forced fumbles through 16 games with the 49ers in 2019.

Alexander missed eight games due to a torn pectoral muscle but returned for San Francisco's playoff run. He registered 34 combined tackles, 0.5 sacks, four passes defensed, an interception, and a forced fumble through eight regular-season starts last season.
