News of the signing came just over an hour after Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the 49ers had signed their other first-round pick, defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw, to his rookie deal. Tight end Charlie Woerner, a sixth-round pick, is the last of the team's unsigned draft picks.
Aiyuk recorded 98 receptions for 1,666 yards with 11 touchdowns in two seasons with the Sun Devils after transferring from Sierra College.

"I take a lot of pride in my yards after the catch," Aiyuk said in April after being drafted by he 49ers. "Early on at Arizona State, I didn't get a lot of touches, and one of my coaches told me that when you do get the ball, just go score a touchdown. So I kind of just have that mentality that every time I touch the football, I want to go score a touchdown."
Thanks to the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which was ratified in March and extends through the 2030 season, all rookie contracts are for a length of four years.
First-round selections come with an option for a fifth year, which, for the 49ers, applies to both Kinlaw and Aiyuk. NFL teams must decide whether or not to activate the player's fifth-year option before the fourth and final year of the rookie deal.
The total value of Aiyuk's four-year contract is believed to be $12,531,350, or very close to that amount, according to OverTheCap.com. That includes a signing bonus of $6,673,708 and a 2020 salary-cap figure of $2,278,427.
