Rischad "The Footwork King" Whitfield posted the following videos of Samuel and McKinnon working out (h/t to Chris Biderman of the Sacramento Bee).
"The guy that we're training with is Adrian Peterson and his trainer," Samuel told reporters last week. "And also, Trent Williams is out here. I mean, training with these guys is probably one of the hardest workouts I've been doing since I've been playing football.
"I feel like, when it's time to go back in, just looking at guys like [Kendrick Bourne], and all the other teammates just working hard, I just think that we're taking advantage of the opportunity that we get. We're still able to work out and be in the best shape possible to get back when the season starts."
Samuel caught 57 receptions for 802 receiving yards and three touchdowns through 15 games last season. The receiver's 14.1 yards per catch led all 49ers players with more than 12 catches.
McKinnon is working to earn a roster spot and make his 49ers debut. The running back has yet to play a regular-season game since signing with San Francisco in 2018. He suffered a torn ACL a week before the start of the 2018 season and spent the past two seasons on injured reserve.
McKinnon rushed for 570 yards with three touchdowns on 150 carries and added 51 receptions for 421 yards with two more scores during his last full season—a 2017 campaign with Minnesota.
