Bourne will have to wait to rejoin his teammates, though. There are unlikely to be minicamps in the foreseeable future, and the remainder of the NFL's offseason schedule is in limbo amid the coronavirus pandemic. NFL coaches and staffs are conducting business while working remotely from their homes. That will include the NFL Draft, which is scheduled to begin on April 23.
For now, with team facilities shut down, players like Bourne are training on their own and will continue doing so until they receive more information from their teams or the NFL.
Bourne hauled in 30 receptions for 358 yards with a career-high five touchdowns through 16 games in 2019, helping San Francisco reach the Super Bowl. Twenty-three of those 30 catches resulted in either a first down or a score.
Bourne would love to ensure he is reunited with 49ers running back Matt Breida, who has been the topic of much media discussion regarding his trade value.
