The interview was conducted via FaceTime because face-to-face interviews with draft prospects are not allowed as the NFL tries to enforce social distancing to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
Melo reports that Iwuagwu also spoke with the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, and Las Vegas Raiders. The 49ers could be looking to bolster the interior of the offensive line. They recently released one of last year's starting guards, Mike Person.

Below is the NFL.com draft profile bio on Iwuagwu:
Iwuagwu (pronounced ih-WOG-woo) is a Houston native who has been a solid starter for the Horned Frogs when healthy. He missed significant time as a redshirt freshman in 2016 (four games), starting twice at left guard in eight contests played. He also missed eight games due to injury in 2018, finishing with four starts on the left side in five appearances. Iwuagwu did start all 14 games at left guard as a sophomore in 2017, however, and stayed on the field for all 12 contests as a senior starter at left guard.
Lance Zierlein of NFL.com wrote the following about Iwuagwu within his scouting report:
Guard-only prospect lacking desired NFL size and consistency. Iwuagwu's run blocking isn't defined by plus power or athleticism. He doesn't play with consistent body control or footwork and there aren't enough reps where he is in command and in control. His arm length and punch stiffness are both good, but he lacks instincts to recognize and respond to blitzing/twisting fronts in a timely manner. He might get a shot in camp, but he lacks the functional strength and footwork to withstand the size and force of NFL interior defenders.
