Obviously, the San Francisco 49ers players are disappointed about the result of Super Bowl LIV. The team's fourth-quarter collapse against the Kansas City Chiefs will likely haunt them throughout the offseason. It could, however, motivate them heading into next season, though.

This 49ers squad is a tight-knit group, and its core group of players will likely return next season — likely with some new additions. Fullback Kyle Juszczyk was among those disappointed that the team fell one win short of its ultimate goal.


Still, Juszczyk looks at the positives of this season while reflecting on the experiences he had with his teammates during the journey.

"It's been, without a doubt, the most fun I've had in the NFL," Juszczyk said after the loss. "I absolutely love my teammates. I love my coaching staff. What we were able to do this year, I think was still very special.

"Regardless of the result of this game, I think we proved some things, and we really established something. I see a bright future from here."

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo felt the same way. The outlook is good for this young 49ers team.

"You could see it in guys' eyes in there," Garoppolo said after the game. "It means something to guys. It means you've got guys who care about what they're doing, guys who care about each other. We're a young team. We've got a very bright future, so we've got to take this in stride, remember this feeling, and let it fuel us in the offseason."


The 49ers proved they belong among the NFL's elite. The team is likely eager to put this disappointing loss behind it and build upon all of the positives from this season.
