It's been a rough week for the San Francisco 49ers rookie. In addition to a busy schedule full or practices, studying and — of course — lots of interviews, he didn't get much rest the night before.
"Just, my mind's racing," Bosa said.
Bosa explained that his mind was racing because he is a bit anxious about playing on sports' biggest stage — Super Bowl LIV. Plus, he was still trying to adjust to the time change. It's nothing a little rest can't fix, though, which he planned to do.
"I need a couple of good nights sleep, then I'll be ready," Bosa added.
In fact, that's where Bosa was headed after his media commitments — to his room to sleep.
Since reporters had him there, though, one asked the exhausted Bosa which tight end gave the 49ers the most trouble this season. The rookie identified Mark Andrews of the Baltimore Ravens, who had three catches for 50 yards in a Week 13 win against the 49ers.
"He's probably one of the tougher tight ends we've played," Bosa said of Andrews. "Just go up and make plays. He's a mismatch, big dude."
How does Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, whom the 49ers will face on Sunday, compare to Andrews?
"I think Kelce is more of like a receiver," Bosa responded. "He runs amazing routes. He knows how to get yards after the catch. On third down, he knows how to make that one move off the catch to get that first down. He's a big dude. I wouldn't say he's as physical as Andrews, but he's got more wiggle, he's got better routes.
"He's a receiver at tight end, basically, which is a mismatch."
Hopefully, Bosa got more rest on Thursday night and continues to do so until Sunday.
