"I'm just going to stick to my guns on liking the most complete team," said Adams. "I always fall for the teams that are good. On defense, they're No. 2 on defense (yards allowed), No. 2 on offense (points scored). Why wouldn't they be able to slow the game down, hit [Patrick Mahomes]?
"You can't fight speed unless speed can't happen because the offensive line can't handle that pass rush. So I think Mahomes is going to have a little bit more trouble getting it out of his hands. It should be high-scoring and great, but I just think it's the Niners here."
Peter Schrager, Nate Burleson, and Kyle Brandt each predict Kansas City to win its first Super Bowl in 50 years.
Schrager based his selection on a coin flip. Yes, that's right — he picked the Chiefs based on a flip of a coin.
Schrager predicts that Super Bowl LIV will be one of the greatest in the big game's history, and it will come down to the Chiefs offense going for a two-point conversion rather than tie the game in the end. They convert, and they are Super Bowl champions. They don't, and the 49ers hoist the Lombardi.
Schrager flipped the coin, and it landed with the Chiefs logo facing up, so that was his pick.
Burleson also predicts a close win by the Chiefs but didn't base it on a coin flip. He envisions a 38-35 win by Kansas City.
Meanwhile, Brandt isn't envisioning such a close game. He predicts a blowout victory by the Chiefs, beating the 49ers 39-20.
"Chiefs by a lot," says Brandt.
