Darrelle Revis has won a Super Bowl. So has Richard Sherman. Revis has been selected to seven Pro Bowls and is a four-time first-team All-Pro. Sherman, who is in his ninth NFL season and still has work to do, has been selected to five Pro Bowls and is a three-time first-team All-Pro.

The two got in a bit of a social-media spat after Sherman's San Francisco 49ers beat the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game to advance to Super Bowl LIV. Revis criticized Sherman's play on Sunday, and of course, Sherman responded. And he did so in classic Sherman form.


Sherman on Monday joined Rich Eisen on the Rich Eisen Show and was asked about the exchange with Revis, and if there was any previous beef between the two future Hall of Famers.

"It's one of those where a guy who thinks more of himself than the world thinks of him, and feels like I'm getting more credit than I deserve, or something like that," Sherman told Eisen. "Obviously, his stats don't match my stats, so he tries to find other ways to make himself relevant in the conversation."

Sherman added: "Like I said before, I just do what the game plan is. I play the game plan and do what my coach tells me to do, regardless. I don't give a damn. He acts like he called the plays in defenses he played in. He didn't. Just like his year in Tampa when they were playing zone, he was getting cooked up, but it was like, 'Oh my God, that's not the system for him.' When you're a great corner, whatever system you're playing is the system for you."

Eisen and Sherman also discuss the cornerback advancing to his third Super Bowl, when he knew this team was capable of competing for a championship, running back Raheem Mostert, the NFL wanting a 17-game regular-season schedule for each team, and he previews the matchup in two weeks against the Kansas City Chiefs.
