Running back Raheem Mostert was a major reason why, rushing for a total of 160 yards and three touchdowns to set the tone early. And according to NFL Research, he became the first player in league history to rush for 150-plus yards and at least three touchdowns in the first half of a postseason contest:
Mostert's third touchdown, an 18-yard scamper with 50 seconds remaining in the first half, came essentially as a gift following Niners cornerback Emmanuel Moseley picking off Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers just inside the two-minute warning.
With running back Tevin Coleman (shoulder) ruled out for the rest of the game, one would expect Mostert to set even more postseason records with the 49ers leading big in the second half. And he did, adding a fourth touchdown in the third quarter, which put him in some pretty exclusive company, according to ESPN's Field Yates:
San Francisco currently leads 34-7.
