The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Tennessee Titans 35-24 in the AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium in the earlier game, advancing to the league title game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
San Francisco enters its game as eight-point favorites and a win would advance the team to its seventh Super Bowl appearance and first since the 2012 season. It would also mean an opportunity to win its fifth championship and first since the 1994 season, 25 years ago.
In the 49ers' way is quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, whom San Francisco beat 37-8 during Week 12 of the regular season.
"We know it will be different," head coach Kyle Shanahan said earlier this week. "That game got away from them early and that's definitely not the team we're going to see this week.
"Everyone knows how good Green Bay is, how good their coaching staff is, how good their players are, how good their quarterback is. I don't think they've lost a game since then. I think that game really holds zero relevance to what's going to happen this Sunday."
