Kittle discussed meeting Green Bay Packers legend Brett Favre during National Tight Ends Day, the 49ers' focus heading into the playoffs, and Sunday night's win against the Seattle Seahawks to win the NFC West and earn home-field advantage.
Eisen asked Kittle what it was like during those closing seconds against the Seahawks, a thriller the 49ers won 26-21.
"Stressful, slightly," Kittle responded while laughing. "It was incredible, though. That's the atmosphere that you want to play football in — a great crowd, loud atmosphere, against a top opponent. That's what makes you football players.
"I absolutely loved the whole thing, and that last moment was definitely stressful, but our whole defense did what they had to do. Eight stops from the 12-yard line is pretty damn impressive, if you ask me."
Kittle went on to discuss how this young 49ers squad has grown up and learned to step up in big moments, how fun it is learning from head coach Kyle Shanahan, his epic "angry run" on fourth-down against the New Orleans Saints while carrying defenders down the field, picking the best tight end in the NFL not named "Kittle," and watching college bowl games with rookie Nick Bosa.
Plus, Kittle is still looking forward to running against Eisen in the 40-yard dash in Indianapolis.
