It's a play that will be remembered by the Niner Faithful for a long time and showed the toughness and determination of one player and the team as a whole.

It was 4th-and-2 with the game on the line, and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo hit his Pro Bowl tight end, George Kittle, who turned upfield for a 39-yard gain while pulling New Orleans Saints defenders along with him — one from Kittle's face mask.


The run was capped off by a 15-yard face mask penalty, of course, and set up a game-winning kick by Robbie Gould lifting the 49ers to a 48-46 win and an NFC-leading 11-2 record..

That play at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome has earned the tight end Kyle Brandt's and Good Morning Football's Angry Run of Week 14.

Kittle was up against Baltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards going against the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley going against the Seattle Seahawks. It is Kittle's second time winning the award this season.


Last year, Kittle discussed where he learned how to play so angry.

"I learned this from Pierre Garçon last year (2017)," Kittle said in November of 2018. "That dude has the nastiest switch when he goes from not on the field to on the field. He goes from the nicest guy in the room to the angriest, meanest person ever, and seeing him play like that last year completely — it's kind of a mindset.


"Seeing him play like that has definitely helped me this year and flipping that switch to play as angry as possible because there's a lot of guys on the field that don't play angry. That's helped me a lot. So when I see someone flat-footed and get to run over them, it makes me very happy, and I'm going to continue to do it."

The "Good Morning Football" crew discussed the run by Kittle while trying to decide on a winner for the award.

"Guys, this is one of the greatest things I've ever seen in the NFL," said Brandt.

"I love Todd Gurley, bro, and it's a touchdown, and it's a touchdown that mattered, but I can't argue with George Kittle," Nate Burleson told Brandt. "Twenty yards after contact."

"Kittle, symbolic of that 49ers team and their season," Peter Schrager said. "Come at us. We're going to fight you all at once. We'll go wherever we have to go. Kittle is your winner."


"There was a Gronkowski sized hole at the tight end position that I did not think would get filled," Kay Adams said. "It's officially filled with George Kittle."
