Michael Silver of NFL Network believes so and threw out some ideas while sitting down with the players who make up the 49ers' dominant defensive front — Arik Armstead, DeForest Buckner, Dee Ford, Nick Bosa, and D.J. Jones.
The ideas immediately shot down — and understandably so — were "Pacific Sack Exchange," "Silicon Bully," and "Silicon Sack Back." The players' reactions were pretty entertaining.
Silver asked about the criticism that the team didn't have a signature win this season before the Week 12 victory over the Green Bay Packers. Was that game the signature win the team needed?
"I just want to say, in this league, every single week, you're bound to lose if you don't come to play," Ford responded. "We come into games, we respect every opponent because we understand that we can get beat any given Sunday."
Up next for the defensive front? Slowing down quarterback Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens' potent offense.
