San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel left Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals in the third quarter after hauling in an impressive 48-yard pass from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo amid defenders. The rookie receiver has four catches on six targets for 82 yards in the game.

The 49ers announced that Samuel suffered a shoulder injury and is "questionable" to return.

Nickel cornerback K'Waun Williams also left in the third quarter with what looked like a right shoulder injury. It turned out to be a shoulder stinger, according to the 49ers, and the cornerback was also ruled "questionable" to return.

Williams has been a big part of the 49ers defense's success this season and racked up 31 tackles, a sack, two interceptions, two passes defensed, and two forced fumbles entering the game.

San Francisco signed the fifth-year defensive back early during the 2017 offseason, shortly after the hiring of general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan.


The 49ers were already without defensive end Dee Ford, who left the game in the second quarter with a hamstring injury after a sack of Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray.
