By now, you've likely heard the news surrounding Myles Garrett's helmet swing from the Cleveland Brown's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night. If you haven't, the defensive end is facing a suspension after pulling the helmet off of Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph and then using it to try to pummel his unprotected head.


Obviously, Rudolph's teammates came to his aide, and a brawl ensued.


NFL players and fans alike were taken aback by the whole situation. That includes San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who feels Garrett should not be allowed to play again this season.


Others were left appalled by what they witnessed.


"What I did was foolish, and I shouldn't allow myself to slip like that," Garrett said after the game. "That's out of character, but a situation like that where it's an emotional game, and I allowed myself to fall into those emotions with what happened."

Update: The NFL announced on Friday morning that Garrett has been suspended indefinitely for the remainder of the season and postseason.


49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan joined KNBR on Friday morning and was asked about the whole Garrett fiasco and whether or not the situation would be discussed with his team.

"Every Friday, we have a couple of coaches who spend the week putting stuff together from what's happened around the league," Shanahan said on the "Murph and Mac" show. "So every Friday, I usually get about 15 clips just to show guys the do's and don'ts, and what happens and stuff. I'm sure we'll have that on there today to show them.

"I don't think the guys are going to take any notes and learn anything, like, 'Hey, don't use your helmet and hit anyone.' But that was crazy last night. I think our guys know that. I'm sure Myles Garrett knows that too.

"The main thing is you cannot lose your cool. It's a very physical game and stuff. To play in the physicality like that, guys go to some dark places, but you have to control that, and obviously, he didn't there, and it looked like he had no idea where he was.

"But that's going to cost their team. They've got a real easy schedule going forward. He's one of the best players in this league. That was one of the most complete unacceptable things that I've ever seen on tape."


Shanahan was told about Juszczyk's comments.

"Yeah, I think that bothered a lot of players," Shanahan responded. "I mean, this is a very dangerous game, and it's dangerous enough just playing in the rules. For someone to do that, that's completely unacceptable, and I think anybody who was watching that, player, fan, anybody, I'd be very surprised if they don't feel that exact same way."
