The San Francisco 49ers rolled over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Here are some impressive stats from the 51-13 win, courtesy of the 49ers Communications staff.

The 49ers improved to 7-0 for the first time since 1990 and just the second time in franchise history.


The 49ers defense held the Panthers to 100 net passing yards. This marks the fourth-consecutive game in which the team has held an opponent to 100-or-fewer net passing yards. The last time the San Francisco defense held four consecutive opponents to 100-or-fewer net passing yards was in 1977. That year was also the last time any NFL team held four straight opponents to 100-or-fewer net passing yards, when both the 49ers and Atlanta Falcons did it.

The 49ers had seven sacks against the Panthers and have had three-or-more sacks in four consecutive games. The last 49ers team to accomplish that feat was the 1998 team, which did it from Weeks 2 through 6.

Nick Bosa joined Vikings DE/DT Kevin Williams (12/28/2003) and Panthers DE Julius Peppers (10/13/2002) as the only rookies to have at least three sacks and an interception in a single game since 1982.

Bosa's three sacks were the most by a member of the 49ers since LB Aldon Smith registered 5.5 sacks against Chicago (11/19/12).

Bosa, who celebrated his 22nd birthday on Wednesday, becomes the second-youngest player since sacks became an official statistic in 1982 to notch three-or-more in a game.


Bosa is the sixth player since 1982 to record at least seven sacks through his first seven career games (DE Julius Peppers, 7.0 – 2002; DT Santana Dotson, 7.0 – 1992; LB James Francis, 7.0 – 1990; LB Vernon Maxwell, 7.0 – 1983)

Bosa's seven sacks are the fourth-most by a rookie in franchise history.

The 49ers' 51 points were the most by the team in a single game since scoring 55 against the Detroit Lions in 1993. The last time San Francisco scored seven-or-more touchdowns in a game was in December of 2003 against the Arizona Cardinals (also seven).

The 49ers five rushing touchdowns were the most by the team since October of 1992 against the Atlanta Falcons (also five).

RB Tevin Coleman is the first player in franchise history to rush for three touchdowns and haul in a touchdown reception in the same game. His four touchdowns were the most by a Niner since WR Jerry Rice had four against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1993.
