Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Monday that neither Breida nor Goodwin are in the concussion protocol this week and should be healthy enough to practice leading to the team's Week 8 contest against the Carolina Panthers.
"[Goodwin] passed the concussion deal (against Washington), but he was hurting a little bit on the sidelines, and just the type of game it was," Shanahan said.
Shanahan wasn't as positive about Ahkello Witherspoon (foot) returning for this weekend's game as he was last week. The coach said his cornerback had a bit of a setback last week, but there is still an outside chance that he could return this week.
"I was hoping for it," Shanahan said of Witherspoon's potential return. "Had a little bit of a setback last week, not big, but I think it will be pushing it this week. There's still an outside chance but not as much as I felt last week."

Starting left tackle Joe Staley (fibula) will try to practice a bit this week.
"Just talking to him, I think these next two days are big, and we'll see how he feels on Wednesday," Shanahan said. "I do think there's an outside chance, but hopefully we can get him out on the practice field a little bit this week.
"If he feels good and everything, then he can go. But if not, at least he gets a little bit of work in because it's going to be hard to get a real practice in the following week because of the Thursday-night game versus Arizona."
Shanahan also indicated that wide receiver Deebo Samuel (groin) would be back this week.
Long snapper Kyle Nelson, who completed his 10-game suspension, is expected to practice this week.
"I know we get a roster exemption for a week, but we should have him in here this week and decide what to do for Sunday," Shanahan said.
