The following was reported on ProFootballTalk.com's Rumor Mill.
Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that meetings continued on Tuesday between 49ers coach Mike Nolan and ownership.
Per Schefter, it's now looking like Nolan might stay. After all, if they were going to fire him, why would they meet with him for two full days?
Then again, it could be that the Yorks want to assess for themselves whether Nolan is willing to do what is necessary to mend fences with quarterback Alex Smith, and to submit to the authority of V.P. of player personnel Scot McCloughan, who according to some reports could be poised to become the next General Manager.
