Among the notable returns are tight end George Kittle and pass rusher Dee Ford. Neither Kittle nor Ford have played in a preseason game this year, and are unlikely to do so.
The 49ers also activated Weston Richburg off the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list just before practice and the starting center is out on the field with his teammates on Monday.
One notable and surprising absence is second-year wide receiver Dante Pettis, who is working with the strength and conditioning staff on a side field during practice.
Update: Pettis told reporters after practice that he is dealing with a "minor groin issue."

DE Ronald Blair (groin)
