Pettis missed the final game of the season after landing on injured reserve with a knee injury. It is possible the then-rookie might have surpassed 500 receiving yards, which would have made him the only 49ers wideout to do so last year.
Rischad Whitfield of Blitz Football, also known as the "Footwork King," posted the video below on Monday of Pettis working on his footwork.
"When Dante Pettis understands what he's facing, he can begin to formulate a strategy for all the types of releases he needs to utilize in the game," Whitfield wrote via Twitter.
49ers players are coming to the end of a six-week offseason break, but have been working hard to get into shape before reporting to training camp on July 26.
"We don't consider it as time off," rookie receiver Deebo Samuel said last month. "We consider this as time to work, and come back in the best shape possible, and be ready to rock and roll when training camp hits."
H/t to Patrick Tulini for the find.
