San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa is one of five first-round draft picks who remain unsigned. The rookie, however, looks like he is preparing as if he plans to be ready for training camp. That is the hope, at least.

Bosa missed the majority of organized team activities and the 49ers' June minicamp with a low-grade hamstring strain. It was not a serious injury but also not worth risking missed time during training camp, for which Bosa should be ready. That is assuming he is signed by the time players report on July 26 or their first practice on July 27.


Bosa today shared some workout photos via Instagram. While they aren't video, it is enough to assume he feels recovered from the offseason injury that forced him to miss practice time.


Bosa was one of two pass rushers acquired by the 49ers during the offseason. The team also traded for former Kansas City Chiefs pass rusher Dee Ford, providing the defense with solid bookends along the defensive front.

Bosa has been working out with his older brother, Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa, during part of the team's six-week break.

"I'm going to keep training with the staff here and then I'm going to head home and get with Joey, and get that hammy completely right because I'm almost there," Bosa told reporters before the break.

As for the contract negotiations, Bosa didn't sound too concerned about that while speaking with reporters in June.


"I don't really deal with that," Bosa said. "I let me agent do that. I probably asked him about it once throughout this process, but I know it takes a little bit for that to happen for a lot of guys. I'm just patience. I'll see what happens."
