The 49ers expect to have Garoppolo medically cleared to be a full participant in training camp, and the quarterback believes that will be the case. Players report to the team's headquarters on July 26 with the first practice taking place the next day.
Garoppolo received a significant workload on the practice field during the 49ers' offseason program, taking part in individual and seven-on-seven drills — and one 11-on-11 drill. The quarterback continues to feel good and is confident he will be "full-go" from the start of training camp.
"I really do," Garoppolo said during the call via Pro Football Talk. "The rehab process has gone really well. Knock on wood. We haven't had any setbacks. OTAs went about as well as I could have hoped for and now for training camp hopefully we'll be full-go with team drills and all that stuff. We're moving in the right direction. We've just got to keep going day by day and keep stacking them together. It's a long process, but we've come this far, so why stop now, right?"

Garoppolo suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during a Week 3 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs last season. The 49ers have been cautious with their franchise quarterback and may take some precautions during training camp, but Garoppolo hopes to be ready by that first practice.
"I'm sure hoping so," Garoppolo said. "The training staff, the coaches, we've kind of put together a plan and everything like that. We'll kind of assess the situation as we get closer to it."
Garoppolo plans to wear a knee brace during the 2019 season and possibly beyond, as he has been doing during the offseason program. For now, Garoppolo is planning on doing everything when he steps onto the practice field on July 27.
"I'm good to go. Finally," he added.
