After reaching the Super Bowl at the end of last season, the Los Angeles Rams are favored to rack up the most victories in 2019. The Seattle Seahawks come in second while the 49ers are close behind. Trailing with the lowest projected win total are the Arizona Cardinals.
Eight wins would double last season's total but are unlikely to earn the 49ers some postseason play. The team worked hard to bolster its struggling pass rush this offseason and add more talent around Jimmy Garoppolo. While a lot is riding on the shoulders of the quarterback, he is coming off an ACL injury which abruptly ended his 2018 campaign and the high expectations surrounding the 49ers.
The 49ers have earned just 10 wins since head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch took over the struggling franchise. Injuries, however, have impacted each of their two seasons and players feel the team is ready to turn a corner and finally reach its potential.
