Garoppolo is eight months removed from the season-ending ACL injury he suffered in Kansas City during Week 3 of the 2018 season. He is taking part in everything except 11-on-11 drills, which was the plan by the coaching and training staffs, while wearing a brace on his left leg. Garoppolo plans to wear that brace or one similar during the 2019 season and possibly beyond.
Below are some videos of Garoppolo throwing the football during the warmup portion of Tuesday's practice, courtesy of the beat writers on hand to watch. Video recording and photos are allowed until the start of team drills.
The 49ers hope to have Garoppolo medically cleared to fully participate in practices by training camp in late July. He is expected to be the team's starting quarterback when the regular season kicks off on September 8.
