The San Francisco 49ers have announced the signings of five selections from their 2019 draft class. The team has inked deals with the following picks.



The 49ers announced the signings in conjunction with the signings of 10 undrafted free agents.

Thanks to the 2011 CBA, all rookie contracts are now for a length of four years. First-round selections come with a team option for a fifth year, which only applies to defensive end Nick Bosa. Having set numbers for each spot eliminates the need to negotiate salaries and only leaves items like bonus payment terms, roster bonus allocations, and other miscellaneous structural items.

Punter Mitch Wishnowsky, a fourth-round selection, was signed on April 30. That leaves only Bosa and second-round draft pick Deebo Samuel, the wide receiver out of South Carolina, as the only unsigned rookies from the 49ers' 2019 draft class.

Jalen Hurd


The 6-foot-5 and 226-pound Hurd, a converted running back, caught 69 passes for 946 yards with four touchdowns as a senior in 2018. He also had 48 carries for 209 rushing yards with three rushing touchdowns that season. Hurd transferred from Tennessee in 2017 and sat out the ensuing season due to NCAA rules.

The total value of Hurd's four-year contract is believed to be $3,652,492, or very close to that amount, according to OverTheCap.com. That includes a signing bonus of $1,132,492 and a 2019 salary cap figure of $778,123.


Dre Greenlaw


The 5-foot-11 and 237-pound Greenlaw registered 183 combined tackles and three sacks during his final two seasons with the Razorbacks. He recorded 80 combined tackles, 6.5 for a loss, two sacks, two interceptions, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery as a senior in 2018.

The total value of Greenlaw's four-year contract is believed to be $2,841,712, or very close to that amount, according to OverTheCap.com. That includes a signing bonus of $321,712 and a 2019 salary cap figure of $575,428.

Kaden Smith


The 6-foot-5 and 255-pound Smith caught 47 passes for 635 yards with two touchdowns as a junior in 2018. He registered 70 receptions for 1,049 yards with seven touchdowns over the past two seasons with the Cardinal.

The total value of Smith's four-year contract is believed to be $2,720,012, or very close to that amount, according to OverTheCap.com. That includes a signing bonus of $200,012 and a 2019 salary cap figure of $545,003.

Justin Skule


The 6-foot-7 and 317-pound Skule started all 25 games for the Commodores over the last two seasons. He has experience playing both left and right tackle and will compete for a role as the team's swing tackle.


The total value of Skule's four-year contract is believed to be $2,699,548, or very close to that amount, according to OverTheCap.com. That includes a signing bonus of $179,548 and a 2019 salary cap figure of $539,887.

Tim Harris


The 6-foot-2 and 197-pound Harris registered 109 tackles, four interceptions, 17 passes defensed, and one fumble recovery in six seasons at Virginia. Injuries shortened his senior year in 2016 and redshirt senior season in 2017. He was granted a sixth year of eligibility and recorded 36 combined tackles, two interceptions, and four passes defensed through 11 games in his final season with the Cavaliers.

The total value of Harris' four-year contract is believed to be $2,678,308, or very close to that amount, according to OverTheCap.com. That includes a signing bonus of $158,308 and a 2019 salary cap figure of $534,577.
