Fellow ESPN analyst Todd McShay also predicts a Bosa-to-49ers scenario with his final mock draft.
"In one of my favorite team/player landing spots, the Niners are gifted the top talent in the class for some much-needed help off the edge," writes McShay. "Bosa has the technique, speed, and strength to make a difference right out of the gate for San Francisco."
Writer Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated doesn't see things going differently at the top of the draft order. Except his mock draft paired answering questions from fans. At the 49ers spot, one fan asked if team decision-makers might actively shop defensive lineman Arik Armstead.
"I see the 49ers taking Bosa here, as everyone has seen it forever," Breer responded. "Once that happens, I think San Francisco will get phone calls about moving their interior defensive linemen, but I'm told Armstead is in their plans for 2019. We'll see if that sticks."
Armstead's salary for 2019 might make him tough to move for the 49ers, should they desire to do so. He will earn just over $9 million on his fifth-year option alone, which is nearly the total amount ($9.84 million) he received during the first four years of his rookie deal. Armstead will be an unrestricted free agent after the upcoming season.
Kiper, McShay, and Breer all predicted the Arizona Cardinals to select quarterback Kyler Murray of Oklahoma with the No. 1 overall pick despite recent rumors suggesting he isn't as much of a lock at that spot as most assumed.
