McShay makes each selection from No. 1 to No. 102 and looks to earn each team an A grade.
"To be clear, I'm not projecting picks," writes McShay. "This is what I see as the best selection for the team -- but no trades allowed! It's how I would pick based on needs, value and availability. Each team's preferences don't matter here."
Who did McShay send to the San Francisco 49ers? He went defense with the team's first two selections and then finally addresses the wide receiver position in Round 3 while picking two players out of Ohio State.
Round 1 (2): Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State
Round 2 (36): Taylor Rapp, S, Washington
Round 3 (67): Terry McLaurin, WR, Ohio State

"Bosa immediately gives the Niners an elite pass-rusher off the edge to pair with Dee Ford," explains McShay. "San Francisco fills a void at safety with the instinctive Rapp and creates all sorts of matchup issues for defenses by taking McLaurin in the third. Jimmy Garoppolo would be taking snaps in the middle of a track meet with McLaurin and Marquise Goodwin lined up outside."
Bosa is widely expected to be the 49ers' selection at No. 2 overall. That is assuming the Arizona Cardinals select quarterback Kyler Murray of Oklahoma with the top overall pick, which is what McShay mocks here.
Many believe the 49ers will go wide receiver in Round 2, which is where McShay's mock draft takes a different turn. Matt Miller of Bleacher Report recently stated that San Francisco decision-makers are eyeing Arizona State's N'Keal Harry or South Carolina's Deebo Samuel with that No. 36 overall pick. Although, safety is among the 49ers' list of roster needs.
