Breer was the first to report that Bosa's visit to the 49ers' Santa Clara-based facilities would take place this week. He will also visit the Oakland Raiders during his trip to the Bay Area, having dinner with them on Thursday night after his time in Santa Clara and touring their facility on Friday.
Bosa will also meet with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday and Monday.
Bosa is the widely-popular pick among mock drafts for the 49ers, who own the No. 2 overall pick. One NFL scout with connections to head coach Kyle Shanahan recently indicated to Matt Miller of Bleacher Report that any other selection would be a shock. The Arizona Cardinals are still expected to use the top pick on former Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray. Of course, nothing becomes official until April 25.
"Don't overthink this s--t. If (Nick) Bosa is on the board, the Niners are picking Bosa," the scout told Miller.
NFL teams are permitted to host up to 30 players for official pre-draft visits at their facilities. Unlike local prospects, those players are not allowed to work out for the team during the visit and typically meet with team decision-makers and receive tours of the facilities, which in the case of the 49ers, includes neighboring Levi's Stadium.
Bosa finished his 2018 season with the Buckeyes with four sacks in three games after racking up 13.5 during his previous two years. He missed the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery due to a core muscle injury sustained during Ohio State's third game and announced on October 16, 2018, that he was leaving school to focus on preparing for the draft.

The 49ers are becoming very familiar with Bosa. General manager John Lynch had an opportunity to speak with the draft prospect in January during the week leading to the Rose Bowl. Bosa was training in the Pasadena area and observed an Ohio State practice that Lynch happened to attend.
"We had a fortuitous deal. We came down to scout Ohio State," Lynch said in February. "They've got a ton of players. It happened to be the day, him not playing and being around his team, he showed up at practice that day."
San Francisco also interviewed Bosa at the NFL Scouting Combine in February, and Lynch and VP of player personnel Adam Peters met with him at Ohio State's pro day in March.
Nick Bosa is the younger brother of Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa. He registered 77 combined tackles with 17.5 sacks in just over two seasons with the Buckeyes.
"I would be lucky to get picked by [the 49ers]," Bosa said during a KNBR interview in February. "The roster, for a team that's picking No. 2, is a really stacked roster. They had the injury at quarterback that obviously allowed them to get this high in the draft so I think it would be cool, definitely, to go play for a team that is closer than most people think to being a contender."
