Now, we know the dates of the team's organized team activities (OTAs) and June minicamp thanks to Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group.
Each NFL team will begin with two weeks of strength and conditioning work before the second phase, which involves on-field activities. That portion will only include individual drills.
Drills that pit team offenses against their respective defenses will be allowed during the third phase of the offseason schedule and is made up of non-contact OTAs with three practices a week.
The offseason program will conclude with a three-day mandatory minicamp in June.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan is in his third offseason with the 49ers. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who suffered a season-ending ACL injury in September, is expected to begin working with the team during OTAs. He will, however, be limited to throwing and non-contact work. The 49ers hope to have their quarterback medically cleared to practice during training camp.
Below is the 49ers' offseason schedule.
First Day: April 15
Rookie Minicamp: May 3-5 (per Bay Area News Group)
OTAs: May 20-21, May 23, May 28-29, May 31, June 3-4, June 6
