"We are tired of watching our team get out coached every week," stated Davis. "Nolan is a dictator. He acts as though he has already accomplished great things and thus everyone should worship his every word."
Davis cited several issues, such as Nolan's clock management, Nolan's relationship with Alex Smith, and his poor calls on 4th down spanning back to last season's game against the Rams where a 4th down call is believed to have cost the team the game. All of those issues, and then some, should be enough to signal an end to Nolan's tenure, contends Davis.
Nolan has come under fire from the media and fans alike after this weeks events. Quarterback Alex Smith's comments to the Mercury News indicated that Nolan was undermining him in the locker room. Mike Nolan, on his weekly KNBR show, responded by saying that it was a misunderstanding. Since then, Smith and Nolan released a statement saying that their relationship was patched up.
Add this weeks events to a 3 and 13 start and arguably the worst offense in 49er history and you have the basis for a fan uprising.
"As fans were tired of spending thousands of dollars every year to fly out and watch games and to watch the 49ers on the NFL package, only to see the poor product that Nolan has created.
"Nolan is an empty suit and we can't take it anymore."
