The San Francisco 49ers met with defensive tackle Quinnen Williams before Alabama's pro day on Tuesday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. 49ers general manager John Lynch and vice president of player personnel Adam Peters are in attendance at the pro day.

While Williams is interviewing with NFL teams, he will not participate in drills at the pro day. That is mostly due to the strong showing he had at the NFL Scouting Combine last month. Williams also has a splint on his finger and doesn't want to risk further injury. He anticipates being healthy by the draft.

"I had messed my finger up during the season, had messed some ligaments up in it," Williams told NFL Network. "I just got it fixed right out of the Combine. I didn't want to injure it more and things like that."

At the Combine, the 6-foot-3 and 303-pound Williams had a 40-time of 4.83 seconds, a vertical jump of 30.5 inches, and a broad jump of 112 inches. Other measurables for Williams include an arm length of 33 1/4 inches and hands that measure 9 5/8 inches.

Rapoport also noted that Williams has visits planned with the NFL teams which own picks in the top seven of next month's draft. That list includes the 49ers, who like each NFL team, can host 30 official pre-draft visits to their facilities.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com, who compares Williams to Jonathan Allen, wrote the following about Williams within his scouting report:

"Williams' hands, feet and overall movement are extremely efficient and he combines those features with short-area burst to create instant wins at the point of attack to propel him to the football. His play strength is good, but his lack of mass and length will show up at times against NFL competition. Despite having just a single season of headline production, his instincts, quickness and athleticism are projectable play traits that should allow for continued production against both the run and pass on the next level. Williams is an instant starter with Pro Bowl potential."

Kyle Crabbs of The Draft Network wrote the following about Williams within his scouting report:

"Quinnen Williams is an easy projection to a 3T role in the NFL. Williams has superb quickness, extension skills, pass rush counters and football intelligence. There's little in the way of limitations for Williams between the sidelines. Williams has All-Pro potential and can be a perennial Pro Bowler if he plays to his potential. Williams should start immediately in the NFL and be the face of a young team's defensive unit for years to come."
