Andy Slater of 640-AM in the Miami area acquired the incident report from the alleged domestic dispute for which Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown was involved.

Normally, this would not be San Francisco 49ers news. Brown, however, has been linked to the team since January because of his activity on social media, which indicates that the All-Pro receiver wishes to play for Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers.


He is, of course, under contract with the Steelers, who are open to parting ways with the receiver for the right price.

TMZ Sports broke the news on Tuesday that Brown was involved in a domestic dispute in January and that police investigated the incident.

"A rep for the Hollywood Police Dept. tells TMZ Sports, 'Mr. Brown was involved in a domestic dispute. No arrests were made,'" wrote TMZ.

The details surrounding the allegations were unclear at the time. That changed on Wednesday thanks to the report from Slater.

According to the report, the alleged victim, Jackson, was dropping off their daughter to Brown's home and requested reimbursement for the daughter's hair appointment. The daughter entered the residence, and Brown closed the front door.


That led Jackson to approach the front door and yell for the money. Brown opened the door, and she positioned herself so he could not close the door. Brown requested that she get out of the way so he could retrieve the money and informed her she could not be on his property.

Jackson stated that Brown used both of his hands to push her out of the doorway, causing her to fall to the ground, injuring her wrist, and suffering scrapes. Jackson and their daughter left Brown's residence.

Jackson refused to complete a victim affidavit.


Following the TMZ report, Brown's lawyer, Darren Heitner, called the allegations "baseless and false" via a statement to ESPN.

"It's unfortunate that the media is trying to use distractions like this and prior stories in an effort to tarnish my client's name and reputation," added Heitner. "We have no further comment."


The Steelers released the following statement after Heitner's.

"We were made aware earlier today of the alleged incident involving Antonio Brown last month in Florida. We are still in the process of gathering information, consequently, we have no further comment at this time."

The report led to speculation that the 49ers, had they been interested at all, might avoid trying to acquire Brown. The team already went through an ordeal last year with star linebacker Reuben Foster, who was waived in November following the latest domestic violence allegations against him.
