The 49ers hit on third-round draft pick Fred Warner. That's good news because the team missed big on last year's first-round selection, Reuben Foster, who is no longer on the roster.
Malcolm Smith can't stay healthy enough to remain on the football field which left special teams contributor Mark Nzeocha and Elijah Lee bookending Warner.
Brock Coyle and Dekoda Watson each had their 2018 campaigns limited due to injury. Linebacker may be a position the 49ers have to once again address via the draft.
